இளையான்குடியின் மக்களுக்கு 1800 களில்,ஆரம்ப கல்விக்காக‌ ஒரெ ஒரு நபரைக்கொன்ட "திண்னைப்பள்ளிக்கூடம்" மட்டும் செயல் பட்டதாக அறிய‌ வருகிறோம்..



First teaching methods in Ilayangudi.
The teaching method in olden Tamil Kingdom was known as "Thinnai Pallikudam" meaning Portico Schools.


The very first teaching house with basic infrastructure was founded by Mr. Kosa Levai during late 19th century. Mr. Kosa Levai was known as the first teacher of Ilayangudi.


Later, Mr. Mookan was conducting classes on the road corners which was known as Theru Pallikudam.



இன்னும், நம் ஊர் செட்டியார் சமூகத்தைச்சார்ந்த திரு.அண்ணாமலை செட்டியார் அவர்களின் முயற்ச்சியால் ஆரம்பிக்கப்பட்ட 'சத்திர பள்ளிக்கூடம்' (செட்டிய பள்ளிக்கூடம்),அவருடையெ சொந்த கட்டிடத்திலேயே ஆரம்பித்து அவர் இருக்கும் காலம் வரை சிற‌ப்பாக நடத்தி வந்தார்கள் என்பது மிகைப்படுத்த படாத உண்மை..


1914 ல் , நமதூர் கலிபா வகையராவை சார்ந்த Janab Kalifa. K.M. Naina Mohamed அவர்களின் முயற்சியாலும்,பொருளுதவியாலும் இன்றும் நிலைத்து நிற்கும் 'ரஹ்மானியா ஆரம்ப பாடசாலை'(சங்க ப்ள்ளிக்கூடம்)உருவாகி,

Rahmaniya School:

During 1914, Mr. Kalifa. K.M. Naina Mohamed established a Educational Association to educate Muslims, which was known as Muslim Maga Janam Sangam.

In the same year, this Sangam started a Elementary School in the name of MADARASATHUL RAHMANIYA DHARMA PADASALAI (Rahmaniya Elementary School).

This school was popularly known as SANGA PALLIKUDAM.

After Kalifa. K.M. Naina Mohamed, this school was managed by his last son Mr. K.M.N. Abdul Kareem.

Rahmaniya School was instrumental in bringing basic education to the Muslim community in Ilayangudi.

Later, during 1945 while Muslim Educational Association was formed to build a High School in Ilayangudi,

it was projected as expansion of Rahmaniya Elementary School to High School to acquire land from Sivaganga Dynasty.



During May 1947, the present Ilayangudi Higher Secondary School 14 acre land was donated by Sivagangai Jameen. Hon'ble Shanmuga Raja to Mr. Kalifa. K.M.N.Abdul Kareem, Rahmaniya School Correspondent and Founding Family Member for the High School Expansion Programme.

In other words, if Rahmaniya School was not established and donated by Kalifa Family to the Ilayangudi People during 1914,

there would not be Higher Secondary School and College existing in Ilayangudi now and illiteracy veil would not been removed from the general public.

பல இளையான்குடி சான்றோர்களை உருவாக்கிய பெருமை இப்பள்ளியை சேரும் என்றால் மிகையாகாது..

இப்படி சுய நலமில்லா கணவான்களை நினைக்கும் போது நினைவுக்கு வருவது:

"அண்ண சத்திரம் ஆயிரம் வைத்தல்

ஆலயம் பதிணாயிரம் நட்டல்

அன்னயாயினும் புண்ணியம் கோடி

ஆங்கோர் ஏழைக்கு எழுத்தறிவித்தல்"

இந்த இருபெரும் கணவான்களுக்கு:= ஒரு ராயல் 'சல்யூட்'
