This episode reminds me of Dr.Mathathir's saga of Malaysia.Dr.Mahathir placed Malaysia in the world map.The moment he stood down there were amateurish attempts to wipe off his legacy.But the truth prevailed ultimately.Rewriting Indian history had also been the RSS and BJP's forte.Thanks to the power of internet that the truth somehow emerges.Again a vote of thanks to Ilayangudians residing around the globe who sees to that justice takes its rightful place.
I too read a copy of the so called ,"The History of Illayangudi" by one Capt.Amir Ali and two others.The contents come across as self-glorification of an individual with vested interest.Such blatant travesty of obfuscation and half-truths must be exposed.For the benefits of the future and our youth.Truth should be told as it was..
Its is indeed gratifying some investigative journalism had been done in this blog.With facts,figures and historical documents.Great writing.
